Welcome! My name is Chloe Philippen, and I’m a Licensed Social Worker (LSW).
My Passion for Understanding
I have always had a passion for understanding people and their stories. We are all unique, and our life experiences inform how we understand the world and ourselves. I feel that it is an incredible honor to hold space for people who are seeking growth and fulfillment.
I am a compassionate therapist dedicated to helping you navigate your healing journey. I believe in every person’s inherent worth and potential. I am deeply committed to cultural sensitivity, acknowledging and respecting every client’s diverse backgrounds and experiences. I believe you are the expert of your own life, and I will work collaboratively to honor your unique perspectives and strengths.
Areas of Focus
I have experience working with people across the lifespan for a variety of challenges, such as mood disorders, domestic abuse, trauma/PTSD, LGBTQ+ struggles, gifted youth and adults, personality disorders, life transitions, relationship issues, religious deconstruction, body image, and traumatic birth experiences.
My experience in the field has focused heavily on coping with grief and resilience in the aftermath of trauma. I provide services to trauma survivors of all ages and across many settings, including shelters, hospitals, inpatient and outpatient centers, prisons, and schools. With a deep understanding of trauma and its impact on the mind and body, I aim to create a safe, supportive space for you to process your experiences and work toward emotional well-being.
My approach emphasizes the importance of secure attachments and relational dynamics, recognizing that healing occurs within meaningful, trusting relationships. I will be that trusting relationship if you don’t have one for support. I aim to offer you a space where you can feel safe sharing. I believe that your life experiences and the messages you have received shape how you see yourself and the world in which you live. We’ll explore how those earlier experiences have informed your own patterns of behavior utilizing various treatment models such as EMDR, Mindfulness, and Trauma-Informed Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.
Beyond the Therapy Room
Outside of therapy, I enjoy spending time outside camping and gardening. I find healing in music and creating peaceful spaces to spend time with friends and family.
